Mental Wellbeing and Support

Werribee Districts Football Club is committed to creating and nurturing a culture that supports the mental health and wellbeing of all members.

Did you know?

One in four young people are impacted by mental illness in any given year; and

One in three young people with mental health issues don’t seek professional help, with many not knowing what help is available to them.

Participation in regular physical activity is known to reduce stress, anxiety and improve self esteem. Community sport also offers an ideal environment to support mental health and wellbeing, particularly for young people. At WDFC, we pride ourselves on creating a safe space and a trusted network where people feel socially connected.
